Merced, CA. The ALLIANCE Small Business Development Center and County Bank are co-sponsoring a unique series focusing on the needs of women in business entitled, “Beyond Your Wildest Dreams.” Twyla Olsen, Business Management Consultant and Coach, presents a series of three classes that will be held on consecutive Saturday mornings. Twyla’s sessions will include leading the group through dialogues, exercises, and self-discovery to identify and find their passion. This is also an opportunity for women to spend time strategizing and revitalizing existing businesses, and gaining information about local resources.
The topics covered in the series will include overviews of marketing and identifying a diverse, targeted market, business planning steps to success, local demographics, and advertising on a budget. Each of the three sessions will be interactive, offering information on current business trends for women. In addition, local resources will be addressed, along with the unique manner of networking and inclusion that support women and their success in the business world. Mini-marketing and mini-business plans will be completed during session two and three.
Twyla Olsen holds a M.A. in Communication and has over 15 years experience working with women in education, political campaigns, and business so they successfully achieve their vision and goals. She attended The School for Managing and Leading Change in the Bay Area and learned from internally recognized consultants Peter Block and Meg Wheatley. Locally she has been privileged to work with many nonprofits in capacity building and best practices in sustainability. Twyla is also an artist and her work is currently on display at the Arbor Gallery in Merced on Main Street.
